Generally, when they start moving away from the doctorine of the Cross, they can be places of all sorts of mischief. Christianity, in short, is a relationship, a receiving, by faith of the fulfillment of a debt we can never repay (for the doctorine of the Cross is that Jesus had to die so that His perfect righteousness could be imputed to us, while He took on all of our sins – past, present, future) When apart from that, they become (these I have seen) self-help, coffee klatsch’s, contests of who can dress more impressively, political infighting (Just in the Church, and Progressivism), and Church-by-Numbers (# of attendees, # of donations/dollars, and following pre-packaged movements *cough! RickWarren! cough! – time was, the message would be prayed out by the pastor, and worked out, him and the Lord…)
But… early warning would be when they start to swerve away from the Cross, and the Relationship that is between the believer, and getting with Him every day (I realize I have been remiss about this…), and memorizing the Bible. Yah… old ways, but they worked. When it starts to be more about feelings and numbers, it is fertile ground for turning towards Progressivism’s focus on numbers (haves and have-nots) and the darker side of feelings (anger and frustration). And from there, to run the congregation away from Christ and towards the anti-Christ of Progressivism, Socialism, Communism, and Fascism, where it is all about getting even, and forsaking the thou shalt not covet….

People need to wake up the fact that Glenn Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology that he mixes with parts of Catholicism and his personal core as a dry alcoholic. And for the record, he is a Mormon and not a Christian. The two are not the same as one is a cult and the other is a religion. This makes Glenn Beck one very twisted screwed up moron who sold his soul to the lowest common denominator of personal stupidity. The religion of Islam has more in common with Christianity than the mormon cult.

The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required for alcoholics. Because he does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, this makes him the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. Considering the fact that Beck’s personal views are extreme Marxist Libertarian, his form of patriotism is false and he is a person who has no real substance or depth. In retrospect, I would have to refuse one of his free blow jobs!

Glenn Beck consistently demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD, indecisiveness and blindness to truth. In short, Beck, Limbaugh, O Reilly, Hannity, Palin, O Donnell, Coulter and others like them frequently pervert truth, history, facts, religion and the US Constitution when they open their big mouths. Beck is simply part of a national league of pseudo-conservative idiots who make big money by selling lies and half truths to impressionable fools that occupy the lowest levels of society. Basically…tea baggers and registered republicans who are condemned to repeat the mistakes of history.

I'll see if I can find out what school it was. At the time, my impression was that he didn't want to specifically "advertise" for that school or appear that he might be doing so. But yes, that was the same question that was on my mind. And it would seem that releasing the name of the school would not have to seem or look like "advertising". Nothing wrong with them letting it be known they have this approach, and everything right about it. A quick look around the web shows the following: Teach with Primary Sources Program - Library of Congress One member of their Consortium is Rockford College. Primary sources lesson plans - this comes up as a header topic under Google, and it has extensive references to help teachers in doing just this. In Northern Virgina, the Northern Virginia Partnership does this. Side Note: My personal experience with this concept came one day when I picked up and began reading a copy of Newton's Principia - then I wondered "why wasn't I taught calculus with this? This guy was absolutely certifiably brilliant!" Instead we get the dumbed down exercise in boredom that is the modern textbook (now selling for $100-200 EACH!). We should petition Glenn Beck to do an entire show on this subject. I would add that it seems any of us could go before a school board and make progress in getting this started, with a little preparation (having a couple of teachers on your side ahead of time, having a good presentation, etc). I'm not sure that even "Progressives" would necessarily be against it - certainly it wouldn't be as thorny an issue as those controversies over creationism/evolution and teaching of human sexuality. It seems like it would be an "easy win".
